Picture of the week: I baked more gingerbread cookies today. I had planned to finish all of my dough but between sheet 3 and 4 I suddenly got very tired so I’m saving a small piece for this weekend.

On the bright side, here is a picture of my advent candles at dinner today: Usually Advent candle-holders like this are decorated (fake or sometimes real) moss and maybe some wooden toadstools (usually of the Amanita muscaria variety). Tonight I made a batch of enormous lussebullar (the picture shows about half of them). The lussebulle part was intentional, but not the enormous part. I went to a Christmas market today and this was my catch: two potholders, a candle, a soap, two cookie cutters, some hot coco mix, a brush (for scrubbing potatoes or torturing very dirty kitchen items) and, of course, candy.
